Anode ladders are used in structural health monitoring to monitor the progressions of corrosion in concrete reinforcement. They are installed when the concrete is poured and the current in the anode ladders are measured to estimate the corrosion level at different depths of the concrete. The knowledge of the corrosion in the anode ladders can then be used to estimate the corrosion in the reinforcement.
